So true Ian, the 'Island' just magnificent under a blanket of snow even! Funny thing really, I did ask my B&B hosts in 2007 if it snowed regularly in winter months, this prompted by my observation of the SNAEFELL Mountain naming. They replied snowfall was very rare if at all these days, hmmm

Great images, I wonder what time you could get round the course on skis!!

I would put up a prize if someone timed a run over the snowbound part of the TT course on one of those motorised snowskis like the ones used in James Bond movies. Come on Madsen-Mygdal, there's a challenge for you, £50 from me if you do it, with photographic evidence, from early snow line to end of snow line before the weather gets better. Any more people want to see someone do it ??

It could set up a wintersport TT for the future ??????
