I was told today that fans traveling to the TT in vans this year that are carrying non race bikes are going to be charged for the cost of the bike fare as extra. How true this is I don't know but thought it was worth a mention.

George i suppose it was only time when the racket would impose this?

Apparently, and as reported elsewhere, there is NO INTENTION to charge for motorcycles held inside of vans coming over on the ferry.

Perhaps the Steam Packet may make a public announcement on this rumour, as it has been mentioned on other forums.

It's a sign of the times, and of the reputation enjoyed by the Steam Packet, that people are prepared to believe such a story.

Touch of the "Ryanair" about that one, methinks?
