How Sad is This ???
Having had this particular item brought to my attention, being advertised on another website, I particularly feel that this really is the bottom of the barrel where event promotion is concerned and who ever came up with this idea, should hang their head in shame.

I heard that this stuff was for sale on TT radio, I could not believe it. I was then told that it was for sale in the IOM post office tent. O'h so sad, whoever thought this one up ?.

It is said that all the Titanic coal that has been sold as "Titanic Coal" could not possibly be coal from the Titanic.

In my vast collection, I have some bits of the potholes at the bottom of Bray Hill, a large stone from my favourite spot above Kates Cottage and a mounted chunk of rock from Snaefell Summit ! Also in my collection are authenticated pieces from the Reich Chancelry in Berlin, a huge piece of Berlin Wall, a stone from the Stalag Luft (Great Escape) camp and sundry pieces from the Eagles Nest above Berchtesgaden.....I know they are all authentic, I collected them .............

I'm not so sure about tarmac from Ballaugh Bridge ?? Is there no jump there now ?? Wow !!

But its a great idea ! There will be people who collect such "souvenirs"

At £3 a card, you would need a fair few cards to fill one pothole Pykey, say on average a couple of thousand ? (Mind you what's an average pothole ???)

Therefore 2000 x 3 = 6,000 £ that is, so for the UK an expensive pothole repair, but bloody good for the Manx Economy (lol) !!!!!

Better still, why not send the potholes across to the Isle of Man, have them filled and then sent back good as new. Even better for the Manx Economy !!! (and not forgetting the Steam Packet).

RE: How Sad is This ???
I have just been listening to Manx Radio (as I do each morning - to the Chris Kinley Show) and it was announced that parts of the TT course are closed for road repairs....

This means either that they have run out of tarmac for their promotion (as posted by Malcolm) and having to dig up other vantage spots (Cronk y voddee and the Verandah could be next !) to fulfil orders !

or

fans saw the value of Isle of Man TT Course tarmac and ripped up bits for themselves !

How much are my chunk of Snaefell and Bray Hill pothole fragments worth ????????? They come with a Manx stamp....bids please......

Hey I have just made a quick calculation.......37.73 miles x 14 feet is 430303104 inches
Multiply by £3 and we get £1,290,909,312----Wow what a fund raiser.....Get Digging !

And this is what they are fund raising for ! http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool...-20699209/ (Acknowledgements to Boaksey Boakes)
