Fifty years since taking his first double win on the Island, Jim Redman MBE is returning to the Isle of Man TT races – this time to make someone else’s dream come true. He will accompany nephew, Mark, on his first visit to the TT after the younger Redman uploaded his dream to http://www.bennetts.co.uk/dreams.

Mark dreamed of seeing the Isle of Man TT race some time in his life, mainly, he said, because his Uncle Jim won there six times in his racing career, so who better to act as the ultimate tour guide! The pair will travel across together before experiencing VIP hospitality and a stay at the Sefton hotel.

South African-based, Jim, understands the dream-like qualities of the Island more than most after securing three consecutive double victories in the Lightweight and Junior TT races from 1963 to 1965.

Mark said:

“I can’t wait to go to the Island and experience the racing first hand, and to do it with my Uncle Jim alongside me, talking me through it all, will be unbelievable. I’ve heard so many stories about how incredible he was as a racer, so to enjoy a trip to the TT together is going to be one of the best experiences of my life – truly unforgettable.”

Jim added:

“It’s a real honour to be involved with making this dream come true. I’m really looking forward to going back to the Island and seeing how things have changed. One of the true charms of the TT is that so much of it is still the same as it always was, but I’m sure I’ll see some differences since that first race win 50 years ago!”
