The application (13/91360) had been submitted by the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.

Its approval will allow temporary camping within the athletics track for 15 days each year, with an additional four days for setting up and taking down.

Consent by the Planning Committee is subject to a number of conditions including the stipulation that the site cannot be used for camping other than in connection with the TT and shall not operate for more than 15 days in any calendar year, plus the the four days for setting up and dismantling.

The applicant is also advised to implement a flood evacuation plans and discuss potential flood risk issues with the Water Authority.
