Earliest TT career win
Just curiosity really . Including Manx rides what is the least amount of races a rider has completed in before standing on the top step of the TT podium.
This question should really be aimed at post war TT's and Manx's .

RE: Earliest TT career win
I think Dieter Braun always wins this one with a win in the 1969 125cc (Ultra Lightweight) TT, it was his first visit.
Phillip McCallen won the Lightweight Manx in 1988 first time there, plus the Newcomers.
Geoff Duke's first TT was 1950. 1st and 2nd, although he had ridden the 1948 Manx (Retired), the 1949 Clubmans (1st), and the 1949 Manx (1st).

Rob Fisher won in his second year at the TT (1994), in what was his third TT start in the sidecar class. He finished fifth in his debut race in 1993; and did not finish the second race. He went on to record a double in 1994, and repeated the feat in 1995; racking up a total of ten wins and three second places during his TT career.

Remarkable record, one of the best on three wheels at the TT, and also on the short circuits. We had the pleasure of sharing a garage with Rob (and the inspirational Rick Long) last weekend at Croft, where they were having their first ride out on their newly acquired Baker Yamaha (ex-Ian Bell machine).

Another German with a great TT record was Werner Haas, he had 2 second places in 1953 and a win in 1954. Not quite as good a record as Dieter Braun's, but not too bad eh?

As a side question to this ,I am sure it has been said before but I can't remember the answer who was the youngest rider to stand on the top step of the senior and then of any other TT/Manx race

And in the MGP Olie Linsdell's double (Newcomers and Lightweight) aged 19 must be a contender.

Supermac was born in 1964, winning in '88 makes him 24 possibly 23, his bio doesn't give a date.

RE: Earliest TT career win
Michael Dunlop was 20, I think in his first win, Mike Hailwood in 1961 was 21 I think

Stanley Woods was 18, but after a bit of research Brian Purslow is the youngest ever win at the TT in 1951, so the internet says Smile
