The forum archive disappeared from the old site today!

Not a good move!

You can still access it through your 'history', or bookmarks,

Yes captain but how to manage when you are a new visitor and don't know that it ever excisted? There's no more a button to get there!

With great difficulty - I'd say.

Pity there's a Winston Smith type out there being told to make all that history disappear when a bit of proper moderation would have done the trick plus maybe the requirement to register to view the forum. Ho hum roll on TT 2015 !

I am not suprised. I thought it would have gone long ago, but with the TT now not far away, there will be more and more visitors ( including the Press/Media) going to the 'official' site and they wont want them stumbling on anything but positive spin.

Actually, in spite of me saying I would not visit the site again after they shut the forum down, a quick Google search just now has found the forum still there in read only mode.

As mentioned before, those of us that bookmarked it can still access it. Easy option to just remove the link, I suppose.
Nothing to stop anyone putting a link to it on here or anywhere else for that matter.

Yes I know about that, thank you. But for newcomers at the old site it's impossible to get to the forum. How can they know where to find it? I hope that one day the link to the forum will apperar, for example, under Database at the old site!
