Were going over the end of July for our wedding Anniversary on the bikes obviousley the place will be a lot quitier than were used to in TT week. What would you guys reccomend to do/visit when were over as the last few years we haven`t got to do that much with our marshaling duties on Emergency days.
First thing is to enjoy the absence of the various temporary speed limits which pop up in TT! the run from Kates to Hilberry is derestricted - for example.
An unusual bike tour is a lap of the Island following the coastline. Keep turning left and you'll get a run around on roads you may not know existed.
Do a top to tail train and tram trip including Snaefell.
Get a pint in any course side pub - with a real glass.
Sounds like a plan tax man were over on the 31st to the 3rd of August so will have alook and see whats on.Love teh TT but actually looking forward to seeing the Island without the chaos lol
i'm actually going to plan a weekend on the IOM later this year, its a beautiful place and the roads are so nice to ride. got a little lost this year and ended up on some really nice roads finding my way back to the course.
I know life goes on without the TT but i expect some places will be very quiet (not such a bad thing).
Yip some of the scenery is just fantastic Ruby.I remember at TT 2014 we didint get the boat home till the sunday after the senior and even then it was like the place was deserted quite weird but yeah was good to ride around without the chaos lol
