Who Should Have Won A TT But Didn't?
An earlier post has prompted this question. Who should have won a TT but didn't? I suggest Bob Jackson for starters.

I Would say Roger Marshall, he tried and tried but Joey kept getting in the way, he must have been pretty peed off when his mechanic took up racing and then won a TT.

I've just remembered another potential winner, Chris Guy. I recall that he was leading a TT in the 80's when it was stopped due to bad weather I think. He then crashed in the re-run.

Cap Davies was a dead cert winner and was robbed - I don't believe McCallan would have caught him.
Pat Hennan - one more year he'd have been on the top step.

Roger Marshall, Jason Griffiths, Nigel "Cap" Davies he lives not far from me interesting character.
Pains me to say it but I think Guy Martin maybe added to this list as well.

Pat Hennan -most exciting newbie I ever saw on the baddest bike to go around the mountain - I can't look at Bishopscourt without wondering what happened

I can remember Pat Hennen doing the first sub 20 minute lap the excitement it created and how good/fast he looked out there on track, the boys are 3 minutes quicker now .. amazing especially when you look at how far round the track a top rider travels these days in 3 minutes.

RE: Who Should Have Won A TT But Didn't?
Over the years there must have been many riders who 'should' have won a TT.
I always think it is hard on riders who have been leading a race, and then it is stopped. It now seems to happen much more often that a race is 'red flagged', but back to the original question-on my list would be Jack Brett, Pat Hennan, Roger Marshall, Nigel Davies, Bob Jackson.
Of all the 'bike' forums, this one was the original site that I first joined, well done Malcolm for keeping it going.
