Surely there's some imaginative word from your side of the pond for this lousy weather.

This is the UK - it rains a lot!

I was thinking of some amazing word that tells it to swan off or pack it up or some other beautiful way to tell this rain and mist to eff off.

After such fantastic weather last year, too.

You'll always lose arguing with Manx weather and cursing the wind is even more serious. You literally just have to bunker down, get a brew or beer and food on and let it blow over you, there's always something to do / see.

And to be fair it's not normally the top of your head that gets wet when it rains on the island it's your ears because the rain usually comes in horizontally.

Hmm. Hate to be pedantic, but......

They say there's mixed weather for the next fortnight, I guess that covers everything, but on which days.

BBC at present says a (Manx!)scorcher on Saturday (well, 15C anyway) & decent on Monday & Wednesday, that's as far as it goes at the mo'
I think I'll settle for that!
Mind you it'll be probably be different by tonight!!

Bad Weather? Right word from a American?  Here it is... 'MOVE'  I did and then so did everyone else... so now I gotta move again!

I know it sounds insane but has anyone ever considered doing some cloud seeding during the TT weeks to try and stop the rain?

Last year it said it was going to rain during race week on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, didn't rain at all, apart from delays due to mist it was alright. I never trust weather forecasts.

The forecast is still looking iffy however Wednesday and Friday should be good to race, then again they forecast heavy rain all day today yet they managed to get 2 races in. I'm heading over early in the morning so hopefully it clears up

Cheer up folks! For me that's what okells and the great Manx pubs are for.I feel smug  because I got two wet days and two sunny days practice week under canvas at Douglas rugby club, but nothing compares to TT fortnight 1981, when it rained day and night for 2 weeks,except for 2 hours on the second Wednesday.I remember it so well as I was on honeymoon in a tent,and finally after 9 days  and no dry gear left had to go to a guesthouse in Port Erin,and this was before credit cards,and it took the bulk of our spending money,needless to say I'm not with that person anymore.
