Re: cookstown 100 website
That's a great start, Geoff. I've got it in my favourites now, and look forward to visiting a lot. Also emailed the web address to lots of friends. Good luck and well done.

Re: cookstown 100 website
thanks for the positive feedback so far, though none of the content is actually my own - the race history comes from a book compiled for the club by harry havelin or the southern centre, and the rider biogs come from iomtt.com.

baylon, i'll phone you on tuesday or wenesday to arrange a meet.

Re: cookstown 100 website
the most popular articles on it so far are the results of 2000 - present and mike hailwood's biog.

i have found a really good joey dunlop biog and i am waiting confirmation that i can use it on the site. that'll probably be the most popular article ;-)

Re: cookstown 100 website
Yes very good Geoff but what intrigued me about the site was the results from many of the old races which brought back memories of many of my old friends who i have lost contact with since my racing days ie where are they now, Chris Goosen-Danny Keany-Mick and Pat Garrity-Ron Coxen-Len Ireland ect where are they now? for us oldens its internet websites like this which allow us to rekindle memories and put us in contact with old racing friends

Re: cookstown 100 website
Arthur - Chris Goosen is running a charter boat in Spain I believe. Danny Keany still runs Danfay Yamaha in Dublin, and is supplying a bike to Martin Finnegan in 2004.

Patsy McGarrity, sadly, is no longer with us - I'm not sure about Michael nor indeed Ron Coxon.

Wee Len Ireland, however, is still bouncing. Email me if you want a telephone no for him.

Re: cookstown 100 website
No, Jimmy , as far as i know is not involved now , a knowelegable wee man , and a valuable person within a club!, and whilst looking down the results on the site , i noticed , Bill Boyd from San Francisco , isnt that Wade Boyds father?

Indeed it is, Baylon

He was slightly less eccentric than Wade, though!!
