SYNETIQ BMW AND BRAD RAY CONTINUE

Bradley Ray’s fine fifth place was the pick of the results for SYNETIQ BMW during this weekend’s high level of competition in the British Superbike Championship at Silverstone. The 23-year-old fought through from ninth place on the third row of the grid – overcoming five of his closest rivals in a race-long battle, to eventually take 11 championship points aboard his TAS Racing prepared S1000RR Superbike.

The 23-year old recorded twelfth place in Saturday’s opening BSB race of three at the Silverstone National circuit, before finishing one place lower during his final outing at the Leicestershire venue, which signified the midway point of the 2020 BSB season.

Philip Neill, Team Principal, TAS Racing:

"The Silverstone National Circuit always delivers extremely close racing and with only a few tenths covering lap times, you can easily find yourself at the front or back of a large group of riders, such is the current level of competition in the British Superbike Championship. Although this was another frustrating round for SYNETIQ BMW, we did see the potential of both Brad and the BMW S1000RR in race two with a fighting fifth place – however we clearly have work to do in finding that all-important set-up consistency. We are aware of the areas that we need to improve and will continue to work hard ahead of the next round at Oulton Park. Thanks to BMW Motorrad and our title partner SYNETIQ for their continued support."

Brad Ray, #28 SYNETIQ BMW British Superbike Rider:

"Race 2 was encouraging and showed the potential of the package but Silverstone National can be a bike specific circuit and we struggled to find that extra little bit required in races one and three to be super competitive. Oulton is up next and a circuit more suited to the BMW S1000RR and is a real riders circuit; one I really enjoy. The team is working hard with development and I’m confident we can find that consistency at three good tracks that finish the season at Oulton, Donington and Brands GP."
