Just going off the team obsolete leathers I’m going to go with Dave Roper.

I see where you're coming from, but I can't see evidence of a beard sticking out below the helmet, and I don't think it looks like him.

Love these pictures Sticky, but I am hopeless at putting names to them.

It is Dave Roper.  In the full size shot you can see the name Dave beneath the white bib and a luxurious moustache.  Admittedly hard to see in the smaller image.  This next pic is one of my all time favourites.  No elbow on the floor or front wheel five feet in the air, but that sky...It looks photoshopped but that's how it came out at the time.  I've tried to recreate it since without the same level of success.  So, who is it?

Yeah - Carl - Paul is his brother who ran the team. I had an Op on my knee on Wednesday and everything is still a bit scrambled.

Background sky from Signpost is great, was fortunate to grow up living on Birch Hill estate just off Signpost in the halcyon days of early morning practice and that backdrop was fab at 4am summer time when it didn't really get properly dark .... Is it Nathan Harrison ?

You're correct with Bret Crossley. I googled him before I put the pic up as I recall him having a bad one but couldn't remember what happened. Turns out he's now a paratriathlete and a good one too by the look of it.

Looks like he dropped it at QB on the last lap of Newcomers 2005 when a country mile in the lead.

Yes doing remarkable things in a wheelchair now.
