He won the last ever 50cc race in 1968 on a Derbi.  He later came back to the TT and won three consecutive Formula 3 TTs in 1979, 80 & 81.  The bike in the pic is the 250cc Production Thompson Suzuki.  I think this must be the bike on which he got 3rd in the 250 Production TT in 1968.

Well done Sprocket.  It is Heinz Rosner, works rider for MZ.  The bike is an RE350.  I always thought he'd had a lot more starts than he did - 9 in all and only 2 finishes.  His best result was 3rd in the 1968 250 TT.

Both shots are from the 2nd classic parade at the centenary meeting.

Results in 2014 say it was Jimmy on the 350cc, the one year I missed.

Re Alfie's post I think it's Dan Kneen, but where on Earth that wall and garden are I had not got a clue, watched two on-board laps with different riders yesterday and still could not work it out, no pavement on left so that cut out most of the Northern section of the circuit, then I looked at the name of the picture file! Captain appears spot-on

Rider i'm currently stumped but still digging.

The newly promoted Detective Chief Inspector Noakes is right with 1992, the 250 was called the Junior and it's a TZ. Shot is from Keppel Gate.
