Sorry to hear about your ill health, Thank you for all the help you have helped me with over the years.
Your comments and up to date information that you have given everyday will be sadly missed. Your health comes first, so you look after yourself, thanks again for all that you have done.

Thanks for all you've done Malcolm and I hope you will be firing on all 6 as soon as possible. I hope, as I suspect all of us do, that the forum will be back at some point. I'm no fan of (anti) social media!

Between The Hedges seems to still be around but there's a new home page and I can't log in...

All the best Malcolm and get yourself well.

Mike

Update:

After a hectic week or two and numerous examinations I can now say that I have the joys of being admitted to Preston Royal Hospital on Tuesday the 7th, initially for a CT Scan and thereafter a Surgical Ward, where I will remain for some time.

X Rays performed are all clear, General health is ok, however let's see what the CT reveals and then I will know what I am facing.

Take care all of you.

Malcolm.

RE: Future of TT Website
This is really sad news Malcolm. I hope it turns out not to be as worrying as it sounds.

I stumbled onto this site/forum a few years ago now, and have been a regular visitor since. The level of commitment that you give to keep us bike fans updated and informed of the recent news from the Island and beyond, has always astounded me. Your dedication to this forum is truly remarkable, and I believe that if you fight your ailments with the same determination, then no illness will keep you down for long.

I really hope this to be true, and offer you my sincerest best wishes, and hope to see you back at the helm soon.

All the very best!

RE: Future of TT Website
I've returned from holiday without logging in for a couple of weeks to find this sad news.

I'm not sure when you'll see this Malcolm as I see you're being admitted today, but I wanted to wish you all the best and hope that your health takes a permanent turn for the better and the news is what you hope for. I also want to thank you for the time and effort (and expense) that you put into this website. I too log in almost daily and will miss it - over the last 18 months it has been more important than ever.

Thanks are due not only to Malcolm, but to all forum members - a community isn't a community if people don't take part.

See you all in a hedge somewhere on the Island.

Cheers,

Elliot.

RE: Future of TT Website
Here I am 8 days on from a serious 10 hour session in Theatre, here in Preston Royal.

Initial results are good, but Christ do I hurt.

All part of the recovery I suppose, and tomorrow I get to see if my legs work again.

When I have had the chance, I have had a look in here, and I thank each and everyone of you for your kind words.

Hopefully I won't be too far away from a proper keyboard next week, and I will let you know when I am and how I am.

Many thanks fellas,

Malcolm.

RE: Future of TT Website
A Quick Update.

So, after nearly 2 weeks on from my Surgery, I am still here in Preston Royal, but about to start on my Hospital Rehab primarily to get my legs working again. Both Surgeons involved are extremely pleased with procedures carried out, and progress I have made to date, so I am.being moved into the Discharge Suite either tonight or tomorrow, depending upon my bodily functions proving that they will work, after removal of the usual medical support acoutriments . A few in there and then hopefully to a Half Way House for more Physio work and then hopefully home again shortly after that, with daily calls by the District Nurses for a wee while.

Not totally out of the woods yet, but getting there. Baby steps for a wee while yet.

Off the liquid diet and starting on mash, puddings, custard, ice cream etc.

Malcolm
