Where's Alex George
I have had an e-mail from Oz asking the whereabouts of TT winner Alex George....
I must admit he has not been about for a while and i would also be interested if he is still doing his bit for motorcycling in his business.

Can anyone help please ???

I think Barbara at JDIRF may be able to put you in touch with him.

Re: Where's Alex George
Alex runs Red Rocket Recovery near Snetterton phone No. 01953 717178. Do you remember Alex's refereeing the football matches between the riders and the press, what great fun Oh for those days back again.

Here we go again!
MORE nostalgia!!
..we all know its not what it used to be.

To me, this is the biggest part of TT "ing" the
memories. I have so many that flood back with
the slightest prompting.
I am going to see if I can add some in May!

Re: Where's Alex George
Roger certainly did play centre forward Dave and quite useful too, I have a photo of Roger and Roger Burnett in green and yellow kit taken with my wife after one game.

Re: Fresh memories for MV!
Thats a kind offer.
Just what do you plan to do with him on the beach?

..and yes...it is all great.

At this moment, I feel slightly overcome by a feeling of sadness that the TT we have all loved for so long may be in terminal decline.
I too have heard rumblings about Geoff Cannell upsetting folk, but his absence from the commentary would, in my humble opinion, be another watering down of the experience.
I am actually going this year against a difficult financial background. Why? Well, I want to live every moment this great event has left. Even if its on next year, it may be impossible for me to go.
I have somewhere to stay for practice week but not race week. The ferry is booked for either end of the fortnight. The guy letting the cottage for the first week has offered to let me kip in his house, but if anyone knows of somewhere available for two with a garage during race week, please let me know.
There is another thing!
I have finally found somewhere to stay within a short walk of the course and they go and stop morning practice!

Oh well, enjoy yourselves......its later than you think...

Mike
