More or less complete absence of the big names who have raced there over the last few years - not on par at all.

I agree.
Last time I raced there, was 1993. Entry list was from memory. Jeremy McWilliams, Foggy, Jamie Whitham, Hizzy, Phillip McAllen, Trevor Nation, DJ. etc etc
And recently, there's been Michael Rutter, Dean Harrison Peter Hickman etc.....so something has happened.
The Covid-19 fiasco has a lot to answer to.

There's very few "foreign" entries in the car races too, mostly Chinese, Hong Kongers (?) or residents of Macau.
Considering names of the past, Patrese, Senna, The Schumakers, Coulthard, Lando Norris et al, I think it's a little disappointing.
But, here's to the ones that have gone for it this year!
