It was still the same last year . Great spot. You have to get there early for a place on the wall. Cakes and sandwiches on race days. Don't think they had food on practice days .

It's all good - 7am you'll have a choice but won't be alone at Gorse Lea, get your spec covered then sit further back in field while the sun comes over the trees or sit on wall and watch / listen to the Race Day Buzz and excitement meander by - the traffic on race days can backup well past Gorse Lea from Ballacraine ..... lovely.

Thanks,

We have a homestay in Crosby so might be walking up there. Or take the bus.
We have never been there so would be great.

You can also stroll on the old railway line at the bottom of the lane at gorse lea, back to crosby or up to ballacraine

I've watched there a few times, it's a tough day on the wall though, you're sat twisted, cross legged or belly down. No standing on the wall or hanging your legs over.

Spectacular though

Vehicle access also when roads are closed on the little lane from Lower Foxdale area which leads to Gorse Lea parking field - just be careful in any vehicle as the road is somewhat narrow.....if you want a good spec you'll defo need to be there early doors.

We do not have our own transport, so walking or the bus/taxi. But that's fine

If it was me I would use the buses they run a excellent service you can buy a rover ticket  from the sea terminal  which allows you to travel on the buses on the steam train and the electric trams they are good value the taxis can be a bit pricey

Indeed, we were already considering that. Thanks
