slight increase to Steam Packet prices
Just booked our annual daytrip & this year it's gone up by 40%!
£49 this year, compared to £35 last year, £34 the year before that.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come!

RE: slight increase to Steam Packet prices
The sign of things to come is a reduced service with increased fares - the good old fashioned carbon footprint excuse appetisers have already been served and the current malarkey with wind and tide excuses is easing the agenda into the population mindset then hurrah we're all saved with the new expensive reduced service we should all be soooooooooo grateful for having will be introduced - seriously hope my conspiracy theory is wrong but everything to do with dimensions i've been told about that new boat from point of ordering have turned out to be true ....i've seen mention of £130 return foot passenger fares at peak holiday/TT times.

RE: slight increase to Steam Packet prices
I haven't been to the Isle of Man since I marshalled at the TT in 2006.
I want to join the marshals for the S100 this year, but to take a bike from Belfast is gonna cost £293, a bit steep when you consider taking a bike from Belfast to Birkenhead on Stena Line is £150 for a crossing twice the distance.
All prices quoted here are for return
Steam Packet have always been expensive I guess.
Digs area bit pricey too....

I am waiting for the price increase for next year. If it is a large increase I will transfer to the Manx and watch it on TT Live.
We will see.

RE: slight increase to Steam Packet prices
I decided to take the cost, I've signed up to marshal at the S100, heading over this coming Sunday morning.
Last time I was at Billown was 1988 for the pre-TT Classic, hope the weather behaves now.....
