MGP2024.... What d'ya think of that then?
Well, mgp2024 is done and dusted.

I'm still on the island but return Wednesday. I've enjoyed the visit but (obviously) disappointed with the weather as it's kicked the event in the goolies.

I watched practice from bray hill and ramsey. Race days from Morown chapel and the top of bray hill.

Nobody is going to pretend it's been a vintage mgp but it were great to see some kind of racing on Monday, albeit dramatically shortened.

It's not been a total dead loss, we've had nice afternoons but showery evenings (Monday, Wednesday, Sunday all poor, all day though) which threw a spanner in the plans to run qualifying.

I'm glad i were here, I'll be glad to get home and I'll be glad to return next year.

What's your thoughts on this year's manx?

See you on the island

As ever I’ve enjoyed the experience but the weather’s definitely spoiled things. We were due to arrive last Thursday but actually made it here on Saturday, due to the weather. I eventually managed to marshal at Lambfell and the 11th Milestone on Saturday and Monday respectively but they were long and disrupted days. I’ve met more good and interesting people, so that’s a positive, but I certainly still question the current rule of no racing in the wet. We used to do it but we don’t now?

For me it needs the full two weeks reinstating again I suppose the Manx government want it done and dusted well this year it very nearly didn't the organisers did a good job to get them done but under a lot of pressure I think nearly all the riders would have wanted full race distance I know you can't book the weather but the extra days would have given them more scope to work with what does anybody else think especially the Manx people who know how there government works.

As an IOM visitor for the racing since 1976, I thought I'd seen it all, but this year's weather was the worst I've known

I'm here until Saturday and hope to get a few more laps in on my classic and modern bikes

Were there disappointments this year....yes

Did I have a good time....yes

Have I booked for 2025....YES     (I figure the weather next year can't be any worse)

Whilst I would prefer the old 2 week format, if the current format means the MGP keeps happening, then I'll accept it

I would like to extend my thanks to all those involved with the running of the event, especially the unpaid volunteers and plan to be back in 272 days time for the TT and 354 days for the MGP

Oh and in a few weeks time to pick up my classic bike - unless anyone returning this week has space for a bike ??
