I am absolutely gutted, I don't know how to put into words how devasted I am at the loss of two good friends within the space of a week. Two fantastic, fun loving, hugely talented, genuine, kind hearted, cheeky, lovable racers taken before their time. Both have been hugely influential and offered tremendous encouragement to me over the years and I'm struggling to comprehend the Paddock without them. James was the first to congratulate me at the UGP last year, Richard was the second. I keep remembering the happy times and I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to have enjoyed their friendship. It's so desparately sad, they both had so many good races to come. My thoughts are with their families at this tragic time. Road Racing will be considerably poorer without them.
