This is always going to be a problem with many people as their own moral standards are always going to be impacted on. Whats ok to some will be regarded as obscene by others. This is always going to be the case. After the loss of the smoking brigade, everyone thought it was going to be the end and where will all the coffers come from now? The way I see it is their biggest challenge to get sponsors is making sure that their names are visable. You may find that certain corners that are covered by TV cams being totally taken over advertising hoardings to make sure that the sponsors get the coverage that they expect. This might bring alot of complaints from the spectators as they may not have that many places to sit in the more popular areas. Then there is also the saftey implications associated with the hoardings themselves. Bail bag sponsorships and air bag sponsorship maybe one of the ways they can increase exposure for the sponsors and also increase safety for the riders. Maybe even product placement such as drinks companies like Redbull, placed in the winners hands straight after. I think that they will probably have a tough job but I think that the number of opportunities for corporate sponsorship definately out weighs the problems. I also think that sponsorship from other events will be an opportunity and with Signture already having contacts in other sporting areas will definately be an advantage.

The future might be bright but I am a little worried about what will happen after 2008.

My god its not like me to be positive.... hang on there are my tablets ... ummmm... then end is nigh!!!!!!!!!!!!.... thats better....
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.
