Your comments regarding bike legalities will run and run ,unless the organisers get tough on this one we will get know where.
The 2002 TT was a great success , and it was good to be back ,there are a number of issues that would help next year if they care about the riders and scrutineers etc .
Its time the Scrutineering bays had ramps for proper inspections to be carried out ,its not profesional to see these guys crawling around the concrete floors, when they could be inspected at nearer eye level.
One morning this year the lights were not working in the garages , torches were used instead , not good for the worlds media to see .
The Paddock was grim , toilets and the other facilities need upgrading , the other issue is the field in which we are supposed to park in for
competitors , on a number of days it was impossible to use as it became a see of mud only fit for 4 wheeled drives not race transporters ,on the days we used the field the race bike tyres becamed clogged with mud on the way to the scrutineers garages, no facilities for washing down in evidence , this GREAT SPORT of ours can do better than this .
I understand the field has to remain a sports facility , but it is possible to purchase the matting to lay over the top and remove after the event and hopefully bring it out again for the Manx G.P competitors,these measures would cost very little ,but would help the paddock moral a great deal .
We must look after this great event and take it foreward from here .
