Don't know how I missed this one. When I first came across in the early 70s, I reported the Manx for the Scottish papers and magazines. I was completely new to this journalistic game, and arrived needing a Press Pass and permission to take photos in all sorts of places I would never be allowed now.
A WOMAN taking pictures and covering the races... some memebrs of the MMCC were very dubious. Gepff Karran provide my pass and introduced me to useful people. All through my first fortnight he regularly talked to me and made me feel welcome. A lovely man. Since then he has gone on to great things in charitable fundraising and organisation. A Manx hero.
