New Races added to Southern 100
650 SuperTwins added to Southern 100 Race Programme
With the increasing popularity of the 650 SuperTwins at road races during the season recently concluded, the organisers of the Steam Packet International Southern 100 Road Races have added the class to the 2010 meeting which takes place between 12th & 15th July.
Club Chairman & Clerk of the Course for the Southern 100, Phil Taubman said:
‘The Committee has followed the development of the SuperTwins at road races in Northern Ireland, Eire and at Oliver’s Mount, England’s only pure road racing venue and feel that the class will compliment the races already run on the Billown Course.
‘The races run over the past season have attracted good entries, both in quantity and quality and the races planned during the 2010 Southern 100 should provide the exciting racing seen annually at the July event.’
The Southern 100 club are to include two eight-lap races for the 650 fourstroke SuperTwins on the Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon on Championship Day.
Regulations for the 2010 Southern 100 will be available via the club’s website, www.southern100.com early in the New Year, along with similar regulations for the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races.
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
