So true Ian, the 'Island' just magnificent under a blanket of snow even! Funny thing really, I did ask my B&B hosts in 2007 if it snowed regularly in winter months, this prompted by my observation of the SNAEFELL Mountain naming. They replied snowfall was very rare if at all these days, hmmm
