Well said Elwyn, your comments are absolutely spot-on and I couldn't agree more. It was things like the length of the circuit and the climate of the Island that Barry was against, as you rightly point out. Bernard Murray was another big pal of Barry's who rode exceptionally well at the TT. Watching the champions video, Barry admitted to really enjoying places like Clermont Ferrand, Spa and, obviously Scarborough - he entertained me for many years at Scarborough. I'm glad someone has pointed out all these facts
