That was the claim in the House of Keys from Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle as he outlined a packed programme of entertainment for TT racegoers.

The programme is a response to widespread criticism of last year's TT seafront entertainment which was said to lack atmosphere without the traditional funfair, big screens and stunt shows.

But this year Mr Quayle promised that promenade entertainment would return in race week with a nightly show stretching from the Villa Marina to Bushy's.

'TT 2010 is shaping up to be one of the all-time greats,' he told the Keys.
