A host of TT legends to join Crosby in MGPF VIP experience

A number of leading motorcycle racers past and present are confirmed to attend this year’s Manx Grand Prix Festival, as part of the newly introduced Corporate Hospitality Programme.

Popular Kiwi Graeme Crosby, who first competed on the Isle of Man in 1979, winning the Senior TT in 1980 and returning the following year to take the Formula One and Classic Races, will be on the Island throughout race week and will be the main host in the Corporate Hospitality Unit on the three race days; Monday 29th August, Wednesday 31st August and Friday 2nd September.

‘Croz’, as he is affectionately known, also won the Daytona 200, the Imola 200 and the Suzuka 8 hours during an eight year career, as well as finishing second overall in the 500cc World Championship in 1982. He was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 and the New Zealand Motorcycling Hall of Fame in 2007. He is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining speakers and guests will be treated to a wide range of racing and non-racing anecdotes from his new book “Croz – Larrikin Racer.”

Other Corporate Hospitality guests confirmed for this year include popular local racer Conor Cummins, who battled back from serious injury in 2010 to be on the start-line at this year’s TT. Eleven-time TT Champion Phillip McCallen, who memorably won four races in a week in 1996, will also be a guest speaker at this year’s Corporate Hospitality along with fellow Irishman Brian Reid, himself a 5 time TT winner and 2 time World Champion.

As well as the racers confirmed to attend, Corporate and VIP ticket holders will also see and hear from many of the leading Manx Grand Prix riders in the hospitality area shortly after each race, including many of the TT Racers competing in the Manx Grand Prix Classic Races.

The event will use the same VIP corporate hospitality unit that features at the TT Races, situated at the heart of the paddock at the World’s premier Classic Bike meeting. The ‘MGPF VIP Club’ Hospitality Package offers guests all day access to the Hospitality Suite including a complimentary bar open during licensing hours, breakfast served until 10am and a gourmet hot and cold buffet lunch prepared by first class chefs. Tickets can be purchased individually or booked as tables of eight.

The package also offers reserved grandstand seating, access to the Manx Grand Prix paddock, including the Bonhams Classic GP Paddock, exclusive rider appearances and race day competitions. Guests will also receive a special souvenir gift pack that includes official merchandise, the official Manx Grand Prix Festival Programme and Race Guide and an ear-piece radio.

The ‘MGPF Club Hospitality only’ packages are priced at £175 plus VAT per guest. The VIP Club will be located in the centre of the Manx Grand Prix Festival paddock and has capacity for 150 guests. The 2011 MGPF VIP packages are now available direct from Regency Travel, the Official Manx Grand Prix Festival Travel Partner or online at mgpfestival.com.

Places can be booked in the MGPF VIP Club now by calling +44 1624 694456 or email sales@regencytravelholidays.com for full travel packages including hospitality or on-line at http://www.DukeVideo.com/mgpfestival or by phone on +44 1624 640 000.
