Rutter achieves 100mph lap in 2012 SES TT Zero

Michael Rutter has made history, becoming the first man to lap the TT Mountain course at more than 100mph on a zero emission machine in the 2012 SES TT Zero.

Rutter brought his Motoczysz machine home first at the end of the one lap race, crossing the line at an average speed of more than 104mph. Amazingly, second placed John McGuinness on the Mugen and third placed Mark Miller, also for MotoCzysz, also passed the 100mph barrier.

It was Rutter's third TT win, and earned him a cheque for £10,000 form the Isle of Man Government.
