Rather cloudy today, but the early hill fog gradually lifting, and with just a few scattered showers passing over at times, chiefly in central to northern parts of the Island. Temperatures rising to 14 or 15 Celsius in a few brighter intervals / around 58F, with the moderate to fresh west-northwest wind becoming a lighter westerly by this afternoon.

Not surprisingly, a one hour delay to the start of the Lightweight race has been announced.

The Clerk of the Course has announced that there will be a delay until 12.30pm for the Mountain Section to close,
and the rest of the course at 1.00pm.
The First race is now scheduled for 1.45pm


The Roads will remain open until 2.00pm on the Mountain, and until 3.00pm for the rest of the course.
The Lightweight race is planned to start at 3.30pm

The Senior Race is now planned for a 5.15pm start

The Lightweight TT Race is now due to start at 5.00pm over 2 laps with the Senior getting away at 6.30pm over 4 laps.

That's the plan, but it's looking more like TT2012 may well be over folks.

After the course inspection, it looks as if they are going to go ahead after all with:- 6.30pm start for a three-lap Lightweight TT

And the Lightweight Race got underway at 18:30
