Auto 66 Racing Double SuperTwin Champion James Cowton has secured a ride
with long-time sponsor and supporter of road racing, Stewart Smith Racing for 2014.
Stewart’s 650 Kawasaki has previously seen many successes during 2013 in the hands of Dean Harrison, including a number of close encounters with its new man in the saddle for this year, James Cowton.
The Twenty-one years old Yorkshireman will be entering his fifth season of Motorcycle Racing this year where he will be competing in most of the major road race meetings in England, Ireland and the Isle of Man, making his debut in the world renown TT Races and returning to the International Southern 100 Road Races.
James is very much indebted to Stewart Smith for giving him the chance to further his racing career on such a competitive machine and is looking forward to the start of the 2014 road racing season which commences at his ‘home’ circuit, Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough with the Ian Watson Spring Cup on Sunday April 13th.
James is still looking for a 1000cc machine to enable him to ride in the prestigious Superbike and Superstock classes during the forthcoming season and offers will be very much welcome.
He will continue to campaign his own 600cc Honda in the SuperSport races and will be out to retain his double championship titles achieved during the season just past.
James also hope to improve his sixth place in the 2013 Duke Road Race Rankings - a season long Championship.
