As for the socks yes you turn them and swap them side to side and turn them again,  and if it rains you start all over again as they will have had a wash,  and as it all ways rains at least every other day no packing required , what you are stood up in will do you for the full two weeks,  now what's your next problem?? Even better if you don't take any waterproofs you can have a shower on the go
