This is a route many locals use to avoid the crush on the Greyhound Bridge over the Lune. Don't try to get a twin wheeled Transit type van that way or you will have to perform a very embarrassing reversing manoeuvre back across the bridge Smile

I once got stuck there for nearly an hour once, when a bloke decided to come the other way when I was 2/3 of the way across. then he got out of his car, locked it and walked off!
Had to wait for the police and everything!
Turned out he didn't think it was fair that he had to wait!!!
A bike should be no problem, but I would think you could get through the traffic ok anyway, I was thinking more of race teams/vans/campers and that.
