Who knows what's going on - it could be his head, or it's just practice so not pushing, or they're having problems setting the bike up, all of those, or none of those. Who knows, but at the moment he'll not be troubling the podium if he carries this pace through into race week.
And that would be a shame (and I mean that). But we'll see.
