There are still quite a few Triumphs in the Bonneville speed trial record books, in the various classes. The two fastest are quite remarkable - two of the oldest records in the book. They are both in the streamliner/normally-aspirated/fuel class - the same category as Burt Munro's famous 1000cc record from 1967. In the 500cc division, J Thomas did 212mph in 1958; and in the 650cc division, B Johnson topped 230mph in 1962.
