RE: Ticket Prices & Camping at Oliver’s Mount 2016
BSB and Moto GP date clashes mean changes for Oliver's Mount
With the 2016 dates being released for Road Races, BSB, Moto GP and WSB in the last few days, the organisers at Oliver's Mount have had to take the decision to revise their 2016 event dates. Our apologies for these dates changing so soon after we have released them, but we want to ensure that in our 70th anniversary year of racing at Oliver's Mount, the fans can enjoy the racing in Scarborough with as few date clashes as possible.
2016 Dates - Road Races:
The Spring Cup Bob Smith Trophy Road Races: 16th/17th April
The Cock O'The North Continental Road Races: 18th/19th June *
The Barry Sheene Road Races: 23rd/24th July
The Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup: 24th/25th September *
2016 Dates - Hill Climbs:
Festival of Speed Hill Climb - 1st/2nd May
National Speed Hill Climb - 21st August
Northern Championships Final - 9th October
The first meeting of the year is, as always, The Spring Cup. For 2016, the meeting's new official title will be 'The Spring Cup Bob Smith Trophy Road Races', which are to be held on Saturday & Sunday 16th/17th April 2016.
The Second meeting of the year will be 'The Cock O’The North Continental Road Races'. Moving from its most recent position in the calendar of July, to Saturday & Sunday 18th/19th June 2016.
The following month will see 'The Barry Sheene Road Races'. A favourite with classic & modern bike fans alike, this event will be run on Saturday & Sunday 23rd/24th July 2016.
The Auto 66 club are also hoping to organise two bike rallies at the Cock O’The North and the Barry Sheene meetings. The Cock O’The North rally for European machines, and the Barry Sheene for Japanese machines. Invites have been sent to owner's clubs who will bring some of the best classic & vintage bikes around. There will also be an award for the best machine in the concours plus laps of the circuit.
Finally, the last meeting of the year will be the 66th 'Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races'. One of the jewels in the crown of road racing, this meeting is set to attract the very best TT riders all looking to take the Gold Cup home from the reigning Champion Dean Harrison. The Gold Cup will take place on Saturday & Sunday 24th/25th September 2016.
Again our sincere apologies for the date changes for our road race events , but we want to be as accommodating to all motorcycle fans as we can be.
