The Mike Hailwood Foundation MGP Newcomers Weekend saw 28 potential riders from all over the UK and Ireland enjoy excellent weather for their introduction to the Mountain Course.

Also on the Island for the weekend was ACU Instructor, Shaun Brown, who conducted a course for the coaches who show the newcomers around the circuit.

Club Chairman, Harvey Garton, said  

"The MMCC is delighted that the coaches who give up their time, voluntarily to pass on their knowledge to the newcomers, are now licensed with the ACU to carry out the invaluable work they do to help the riders fulfill their dream of racing on the world famous Mountain Course".

A second weekend for more newcomers takes place in March.
