North West 200 and British Superbike star Alastair Seeley is finding his groove with the RAF BMW S1000RR Superbike during the opening day of the Pro Test at Cartagena in Spain.

The Carrick man will make his much anticipated return to the BSB class in 2016, when Seeley is targeting the all-important Showdown after previously emerging as one of the title fighters in 2010, when he clinched his maiden victory at Brands Hatch on the Relentless TAS Suzuki.

This year’s North West 200 is also of huge significance to the Ulster rider, who matched Robert Dunlop’s all-time record of 15 wins last season and is poised to rewrite the history books in May, when he will also ride the Gearlink Kawasaki ZX-6R alongside his stable of BMW machines.

“It’s the first day at Cartagena and we’re just in from a run there of about six or seven laps,” Seeley told @OfficialBSB on Thursday.

“The bike’s feeling pretty good and there are just a couple of electronic things we will try and change now, but it’s all good.

“I’m enjoying the weather and it’s nice to get some laps done after a long winter.”
