Without malice, I hope Ryan, a racing legend, throws in the towel. This accident was scary. But probably because a friend who in times past raced with Ryan, Cam, Bruce and Guy amongst other well known international racers, said something like this to me once about Ryan... "Of all the riders I ever rode with, it was Ryan who stood out. He was a man possessed, always riding right on the ragged edge, forever pushing it harder than anybody else. And it's often those that come unstuck and we lose them. It's just a feeling but I hope I'm wrong". This has always stuck with me, mainly because my buddy was a mental racer himself but he also has a very strong spirit about him.
