I watched there in the late 90's.  Really good spot for seeing the commitment of the riders throwing it in to the blind bend and running wide towards the trees trying to get maximum drive up the hill (Mark Flynn sticks in the mind).  Quite a few 'moments' on the white line on the exit.  I have a feeling we were able to get access from the rear to move between the races.  These were the days before the current exclusion areas of course
