I agree, I think there is little option but to return the riders the reverse way, the main bit is UNDER TRAVELLING MARSHALS and that, tragically, didn't happen this time, I fear it is just a terrible human error. Shouldn't the sector marshal they passed have pulled them up as they had no escort ? A horrific incident, and hopefully after the inquiry, one that can never happen again.
