I would agree it was just mindless vandalism, or envy, it goes on all over the U.K except that it is more than 100% worse on the mainland. It will surprise a lot of people to know that Northern Ireland has the lowest crime rate in the world at 24 per 100 other than Japan which is 22 per 100.
