I spoke to a travel agen friend today about this and was told yes Tourist departments do get plenty of free trips from other countries tourist departments, they are called fact finding trips, gets them out of the poo with the tax man by calling them fact findind.

I vote that marshalls should be sent on fact finding trips to Macau, Daytona, Assen TT, Spanish GP, German GP and last of all the star prize OZZ WSB, we need to know ho wthe wooly backs keeps the gulls of the track at Phillip Island

The marshals sent on the trips could also be TT Ambassadors...

I think that what comes out of this is that the Manx is clearly the heart of racing in the Isle of Man
The heritage of the TT is in safe hands!

Its funny that you mention being a TT ambassador, well I consider myself to be a TT missionary!
My grandafather WAS a missionary at the time of Stanley and Livingstone and its clearly in my genes..
I have spent years telling infidels about the TT and, more to the point, Monas Isle
Hopefully I have done (and are still doing) my bit for the great event(s)
