Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news - Ian Watson ( Saltburn) died following a accident yesturday. Ian and his wife were on their way home from Leeds when the accident appended - Julie is in Northallerton Hospital with a few minor injuries. Sincere condolances to the family

This is dreadful news. We never met Ian, but he featured strongly on the excellent TT Documentary film released earlier this year, filmed at the 2003 TT. His enthusiasm for racing and for life in general was clear to see during the film, and he will be sorely missed at the TT and throughout the racing world. Our thoughts are with Julie and Ian's family and friends at this tragic time.

This is indeed terrible news about Ian Watson, sincere condolences to his family and friends. The TT Supporters Club Summer 2004 Magazine features and article on Ian written by Graham Bean.I know that Graham took great pleasure in conversing with Ian when researching the article. We met Ian on a number of occassions during the TT, a more friendly and amiable person you would find hard to meet. His passing is a great loss to our sport.
