Perhaps one answer is to form a new religion, declare the Southern 100, the TT and the Manx to be our sacred annual festivals. We already have our own Witch to preside. We have our saints. We have our holy sites. Crowds would clamour for communion at Bushy's. All the competitors would be clergy - arranging for a suitable seminary might be a challenge LOL!! But, in this politically correct era the only groups that are protected are religions.

1. Thou shalt not artificially restrict the breathing of a motorcycle.
2. Though shalt bend thy knee to the tarmac in prayer whilst
negotiating roundabouts.
3. Thou shalt bow thine head and lift thy tail light unto the sky
when thou stoppest for red traffic lights.
4. Thou shalt lift up thine headstock under acceleration when thou
departest green traffic lights.
5. Thou shalt not suffer a bike thief to live.
6. Thou shalt not suffer graven tread upon thine tyre unless it be
raining.

8. Well you get the picture
The people did look upon these laws and saw that they were good, and lo
did
they raise their exhaust notes, each unto the manner of his kind[2] in
praise and depart making the Holy Sign of the Do-nut to spread The Word
across the land, and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth
amongst the people of Finchingfield...
[1] Scholars differ as to wether this was "The Mountain" at Cadwell
park or "The Mountain" as in the IoM TT circuit.
[2] Twins, triples, 4-stroke singles, 2-strokes, etc, etc, etc...

...recently, the lost sections of the bible, recently found in Kent
the so-called Bem Sea Scrolls clarified this point thus. I quote from
BHLG Chapter V, Verse i:
"And verily, did the prophet Hailwood leave his people to contemplate.
Wandering through the valleys and coppices he rose up to a park on
high where the Lord did call unto him. And he did walk the straight
road of faith and velocity as it ascended even unto Heaven. But
he became full of terror, for the track became steep and hard to
follow. And Hailwood did turn from the path and did nail that apex,
but this track led only around and around, down through flocks of
Geese unto the fields of Man.
And Hailwood did weep, and ascended the Mountain to repent of his
sins, crying 'Eli! Eli! Lama sabacthagostini!' "
