TT - Advice to Visitors :-)
I've just been presented with an old TT Book by a client, and it was published in 1953, and illustrates the years 1907 through to 1953 Wink

It has all the results from the races, together with times, speeds make and model and of course the rider Lol

This section "Advice to Visitors" I thought was great Smile

That's brilliant... how I miss the Manx Grand Prix weigh-ins! You met all the riders, carrying their leathers and helmets for scrutineering, the bike being ridden, often, by the mechanic. It was the best place to get photos of riders off the bike, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The text is a little difficult to read but do you remember?

"Petrol tanks must be empty. The RAC will drain your tank at Liverpool, Fleetwood and Douglas (before embarking) free of charge if you are a member. Non-members are charged for this service"

Didn't they just, although I don't think it was the RAC who did the deed my first time over in '76. Being a local lad we'd sussed this out. Some people weren't happy though. alf
