ACU Meeting
Also posted on iomtt.com

Why the total silence and news blackout, from the Island following the meeting ?

I would have thought that it was obvious from the number of postings on this and other message boards, that there are many TT/MGP riders, marshals, medics and supporters, desperate for information coming out of the meeting held on the 28th. But NO not a word anywhere, not Manx Radio, IOM Online, nothing.

I was under the, obviously deluded, impression that a new "public relations" company had been appointed, I guess their Christmas jollies are more important than keeping the people that matter informed as to what is going on.
Youth is wasted on the under forties !

Sorry,Paul, but Charlie is correct. There has been so much going on lately, that the least the ACU can do is keep everyone informed. When certain ACU officials are seen having a good time in the IoM hostelries(most likely at licence holders' expense),we all expect to be told who has been talking to whom.No big deal. Representitives from the ACU (Jim Parker, Eddie Nelson and Roy Hanks) were on the Island to talk to the IOMTTMA about the future, which they did and out of courtesy met the members of the DoTL and MMCC for brief discussions. If they chose to go for a pint in the evening they stayed over or whilst they waited for the plane on their way home then that is up to them? Surely there is no crime in that?

From what I remember it was basically wait and see although I just caught the tail end of something a few minutes ago on 3FM, something to do with Tony Jeffries and marshals. I'll listen again at 12

Oh, well, nothing new there. just a statement that we need to wait until the coroner's report has been thoroughly read, for a atatement from DC about it. Eminently sensible. Nothing about the ACU meeting.

3FM have a report about the ACU meeting on their news this morning. Eddie Nelson saying talks went well and there's no threat to the TT following the Bolster/Scott tragedy
