Can anyone tell me the time of the fastest lap of the TT course by a Harley Davidson?
Details of year, race, rider, race position would be great too.

If you click on Links on this sites main page you will get a menu which includes a site called IomTT.com click on that and you will find what you are after,after a quick look I found 1982 Classic TT Vance Breeze 38th 83mph,1978 Alan Cathcart 5th F3TT 87.85mph.

Thanks for that, I have that information but was wondering if there was any more.
By the way it was just a rebadged Aermacchi that Alan Cathcart rode.

Does the 1982 classic TT count as being a 'proper' TT race?

Someone sometime must have rode a 'proper' Harley in a 'proper' TT race, even if it ended up as a DNF.

The data base at iomtt.com gives no info when I search the Harley Davidson page.

Yes the Classis TT 1982 was a proper race and not a form of parade lap.
I know there have been more results for Harley at the TT, but on the data base some DNF riders machines are down as unknown,I am sure some Harley fan must know the information you are requesting.

Americans Vance Breeze and Michael Ross rode a pair of Heavy harley's in the 1982 Classic, Breeze finishing 38th with an average of 83 mph, Ross retired. David Hughes rode one in the 1975 Classic, also retiring. I have a shot of Hughes well airborne at Ballaugh, bet that made the ground shake when gravity took over again!
Breeze fastest lap 26.11.4, Ross did not complete a lap. David Hughes 23.14.8.
I'm sure anyone who rode the '82 Classic would class it a proper race!
