Tributes are being paid to a former Manx Grand Prix competitor who died in a crash near his home.
Matt Bailey was killed when his road bike was in collision with a car in Sussex.
The thirty-one year old was a regular competitor in the Isle of Man between 2000 and 2003.
On his first visit to the Island he finished ninth in the Newcomers Senior race.
His death has sent a shockwave through East Grinstead where he lived with many people and local organistaions quick to pay tribute to the man they called 'the Gentle Giant'
